TORONTO – Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz, who injured an oblique muscle on Friday night (see story), remained on the active roster Saturday. Ruiz, however, was not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Blue Jays and he remains under evaluation. The Phillies brought up catcher Erik Kratz from Triple A as reinforcement at the position. To make room for Kratz, the Phils optioned reliever B.J. Rosenberg to Triple A.

Before the game, Ruiz took batting practice and said he does not believe he has an oblique strain (see story).

Here is Saturday’s lineup vs. Toronto lefty Ricky Romero (see game notes):

1) Jimmy Rollins, SS
2) Placido Polanco, 3B
3) Hunter Pence, RF
4) Jim Thome, DH
5) Shane Victorino, CF
6) Ty Wigginton, 1B
7) John Mayberry Jr., LF
8) Brian Schneider, C
9) Michael Martinez, 2B
