Robert Griffin III has plenty of expectations on him as he enters his rookie season.

He's supposed to be the guy who makes the Redskins relevant again. But he knows the guys who made the team a winner in the past.

NFL.com's Jeff Darlington watched as Griffin found the bust of Sammy Baugh in Canton, Ohio.

"To know what those guys did back then and had to go through to get to where we are (standing) right now, it's extremely important for us to grasp so that we can know what our identity is," Griffin said.

Later during his trip, Griffin saw the three rings that represented the three Super Bowl championships in Redskins' history.

"That's not enough rings," Griffin said. "We've got to get more."

Lee's forgotten plays

Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg only refers to Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee as the "man from Penn State."

According to Jimmy Kempski of Blogging the Beast, Lee made three crucial interceptions in games the Cowboys lost.

The Cowboys went on to lose games against the Jets, Patriots and Giants.

The Cowboys, of course, finished at 8-8. If they won three more games, they would have had 11 wins, good enough to beat out the Super Bowl champion Giants in the NFC East.

Chris Canty questionnaire

The Newark Star-Ledger has been taking the time between the end of OTAs and training camp to ask a few questions to several Giants.

Today, we'll take a look at what Mike Garafolo asked defensive lineman Chris Canty. Canty missed most of spring workouts while recovering from a knee surgery. Here's a piece of it:

Will you be ready to go day one?

I think I’ll be ready to go. Obviously, we have to defer to (team physician Russ) Warren and the medical staff, but I feel great. There’s no swelling in my knee or anything like that. There’s nothing inhibiting me right now. I feel good. We want to be smart about it, but also I have the itch right now and I’m ready to get back into football stuff.

I bet you’re in the minority there. I’m sure a lot of guys don’t want to get back into camp right now.

I’ll tell you what, I know what it’s like when you don’t have football. I know what it’s like. I don’t want to go without that. I remember my first year here (in 2009 when he missed eight games to injury). It was an awful year. So I know what it’s like to not have ball and I never want to go through that again.
