MIAMI – The Phillies ended a brutal month of June with a 3-2 loss to the Miami Marlins on Saturday afternoon.
The Phils’ fourth straight loss dropped them to a season-worst eight games under .500. They finished June 9-19.

Starting pitching reportCole Hamels allowed seven hits and three runs over seven innings. He is 10-4.
Mark Buehrle (7-8) got the win. He held the Phils to two runs over seven innings.
Bullpen reportMichael Schwimer pitched a scoreless inning for the Phils.
Mike Dunn and Heath Bell closed it out for Miami. Bell got the final two outs with the potential tying run on second. He struck out Hunter Pence and got Shane Victorino on a ground ball to short to end the game.
At the platePence smacked his 16th homer for the Phils.
The Phils were 1 for 4 with a runner in scoring position, but the hit did not score a run.
Mike Stanton homered in the first inning against Hamels. He drove in the Marlins’ second run with a single in the third. Justin Ruggiano’s sacrifice fly to deep center pushed home the Marlins’ third run.
