Eagles picked to make three-win improvement
Eagles fans are hoping for an improvement on the team's disappointing 8-8 season in 2011.
Pat Kirwan of CBS Sports thinks the fans have reason for optimism.
Aside from the personnel additions the team made in the off-season, there are other reasons to expect improvement with the team. The Eagles tied for the second-worst turnover margin in the league at minus-14, and that should fall back closer to the league average in 2012.
In addition, the Eagles' top four receivers -- DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Brent Celek and Jason Avant -- dropped 24 passes in 2011, a number that figures to decrease going forward.
For all their struggles, the Eagles were the only team in the league in 2011 to finish in the top-10 in both total offense and total defense.
With all of the roster improvements and luck that can't possibly be any worse than it was in the 2011, the Eagles could be poised to win those 11 games.
