NBA Rumor Rundown: Ex-Sixer Bell to the C's?

The Sixers have been making moves this off-season.

On Friday, the team agreed to terms with guard Nick Young and parted ways with Elton Brand and Lou Williams. (see story)

Here is what's going on in other NBA off-season news:

Bell to become free agent?
On Sunday, former Sixer Raja Bell told Brian T. Smith of The Salt Lake Tribune his 2012-13 contract will be bought out by the Utah Jazz.

Bell said he’ll be an unrestricted free agent after the deal is finalized.

According to Smith, the 6-foot-5, 210-pound shooting guard has drawn interest from a number of teams since the start of free agency.

“…He acknowledged teams such as Miami, Boston and the Los Angeles Lakers are interesting to him,” Smith wrote. “He would not specify which organizations have recently shown interest, though, since his buyout had previously not been made public and he wants to respect the Jazz's role in the process.”

Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski also tweeted that Bell is interested in playing in his hometown and joining the Heat.

Double digits
The Dwight Howard trade saga continued on Monday.

According to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, the Howard sweepstakes could be coming to a close in the coming days.

The trade that may end all the drama in Orlando includes four teams and more than 10 players, with Howard landing in Brooklyn.

“In the proposed deal,” Wojnarowski wrote, “Howard, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark would be sent to Brooklyn, and the Magic would receive the Nets' Brook Lopez, Damion James, Sheldon Williams, Cleveland's Luke Walton and three future first-round picks.

"...Cleveland would receive Orlando's Quentin Richardson, Brooklyn's Sundiata Gaines, Kris Humphries (on a one-year guaranteed deal), a first-round pick and $3 million from the Nets. Brooklyn also would send Brooks to a fourth team to get them an additional first-round pick to send to the Magic.”

A league source told Yahoo! Sports’ Marc Spears that Kris Humphries is opposed to taking a one-year deal with the Cavs, which could prevent the deal from getting done.

But as Wojnarowski points out, the Nets are apparently making progress in seeking out two other trade scenarios that may be more appealing to Humphries.

Elsewhere in the NBA...
Kirk Hinrich, according to the Associated Press, will return to the Bulls, and Dwyane Wade underwent surgery Monday on his left knee.
