The 2012-13 NBA schedule was released on Thursday night and the Sixers will be at home to open their 50th season in Philadelphia (see full schedule).
The Sixers open the regular season at 7 p.m. on Halloween night at home against the Denver Nuggets. Playing at home will be a theme early as the Sixers host 10 of their first 15 games. That stretch includes five straight home games from Nov. 11-20 against Milwaukee, Detroit, Utah, Cleveland and Toronto.
The team has a season-long homestand that spans eight games from Jan. 26 to Feb. 11.
The Sixers will hit the road for a season-high eight-game road trip beginning on Dec. 23 in Brooklyn and ending on Jan. 5 in San Antonio.
The Sixers will have 11 nationally-televised games and 22 sets of back-to-back games during the season.
They close the season on the road April 17 against Indiana.
Highlights of the season include a first-hand look at No. 1 overall pick Anthony Davis on Nov. 7 in New Orleans. The Sixers also get early visits from the Western Conference champion Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 24 and the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 16. They host the reigning NBA champion Miami Heat on Feb. 23 in the first of three matchups.
