Eagles work out Temple defensive end Brown
BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- With the number of available defensive linemen shrinking, the Eagles worked out Temple product Morkeith Brown on Thursday.
With Jason Babin, Cullen Jenkins, Mike Patterson and Trent Cole out with injuries, the Eagles have 11 other defensive linemen on the roster
(see story). They could use one or two more.
“I think it went pretty good,” Brown said after his workout on Thursday. “I did everything I’m supposed to do. I’m in shape. I’ve been working out twice a day, like when I was training for my pro day.”
Brown said he has visited two other teams recently but would enjoy playing for the Eagles. He’s a Harrisburg, Pa. native.
“I was extremely happy,” Brown said about getting a call from the Eagles. “It’s close to home. It’s in an area I’m familiar with. I like the coaching staff. I met them once before when I did a local workout. I was real comfortable.”
Brown said he expects to hear back from the Eagles in the “next couple of days.”
