Two days after trading Shane Victorino and Hunter Pence, the basement-dwelling Phillies are prepping for a sweep of the division-leading Nationals.

Cole Hamels opposes lefty Ross Detwiler in the final meeting of a three-game set.

Ryan Howard has been given the night off, with Ty Wigginton filling in at first.

Nate Schierholtz, who played his first game as a Phillie Wednesday night, has been replaced in right field by John Mayberry, as the two begin their predicted lefty-righty platoon. Dom Brown shifts to left while call-up Michael Martinez, who has traditional played the infield for the Phils, gets the start in center.

Carlos Ruiz returns to the lineup and will back cleanup.
