Around the NHL: Anisimov enjoying Columbus
Artem Anisimov is out of the hustle and bustle of New York City and is now in the peace and quiet of Columbus, Ohio -- and he's enjoying it.
“(Manhattan) was tough for me,” Anisimov said to the
Columbus Dispatch, via
ProHockeyTalk. “This is a good city, good neighborhoods. People have been so nice. And it’s so quiet. So quiet.”
And Flyers fans will enjoy Anisimov playing outside of the Atlantic Division and in the Western Conference. The 24-year-old Russian torched the Flyers more than he did any other team last season. In six games, Anisimov scored three goals, had two assists and tallied five points versus the Flyers.
In 2011-12, the center finished with 36 points, 20 assists and 16 goals.
Ex-Flyer Jeff Carter never made it work in Columbus, but so far, Anisimov seems to like it.
